Our Company
We are a medium-size patent agency employing 25 staff, including nine patent agents, of whom six are authorized to represent clients before EPO and one before U.S. PTO, and two trademark attorneys, including one authorized by OHIM. All of our staff speak English competently and are well used to dealing with foreign clients.
We offer a full range of services in creating, maintaining and watching intellectual property rights. Our core IPR business focuses on patents, utility models, designs, and trademarks, and we typically serve industry, not only Finnish companies but also overseas clients. Some of our attorneys specialise in IPR litigation.
We have substantial experience in all technical fields of patents: chemistry, biotechnology, mechanics, electrical engineering, and telecommunications. Moreover, we are active in the field of education and training and often give lectures on various IPR matters.
Our company was founded in 1979 by the late Seppo Laine, a distinguished patent attorney, honorary member of the Association of Finnish Patent Attorneys and long-time Finnish delegate on the executive committee of FICPI.
